E-mail,one quaintlly known as "electronic mail", is the fundamental digimarketing tool E-mail has been around, pretty much unchanged, for more than 35 year.
There are about 1.4 billion e-mail users worldwide (Radicati Group): almost 90% of all internet users.Worldwide e-mail traffic is almost 250 billion messages per user per day. Of course, at least 80% of that figure is spam.
Spam, spam, spam: SPAM (all capitals) has been a registered trademark of Hormis Foods corporation since 1937. But the most common use of the word today doesn't refer to Hormel Foods' Spiced Ham. Rather, following the Monty Python comedy sketch about a cafe where almost every menu item contained Spam,
in which the chanting of"Spam! Spam! Spam!" overwhelmed all dialogue, unwanted communications,usually from would-be marketers.
